Twitter policy

The CERT-UK Twitter account @cert_uk is managed by the Communications team. Tweets will be about CERT-UK and related cyber information.


We will not automatically follow anyone who follows us. Being followed by @cert_uk does not imply an endorsement of any kind.


Social media channels will usually be updated during office hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Twitter may occasionally be unavailable, we accept no responsibility for interruptions in service due to Twitter downtime.

@Replies and direct messages

We will respond to @replies where it is appropriate to do so. CERT-UK cannot engage on issues of party politics.


A user does not have to register to use the CERT-UK website, but has to register with Twitter or an RSS service if they wish to receive alerts or advisories via Twitter or RSS feeds.
