WARP News (September 2006)

Welcome to the latest update of the WARP Toolbox (September 2006), if you wish to view previous news from the Toolbox visit News archive. The following news items provide an update on the progress of the WARP programme:

• The second WARP Newsletter has been issued which can be viewed here. To sign up for future newsletters send a blank e-mail to The first newsletter can be viewed here.

• Avius Experience have updated their website in a public area in a tab called 'FWA info' in which are described their support services. For futher details contact NB. NISCC do not favour one supplier over another and encourage other suppliers who may want to support FWA to offer similar services.

What's new in the Toolbox

The main changes to this Toolbox release are as follows:

• New items in this update and the July update are flagged *NEW*.

• The WARP Register has been updated and the format simplified

• The FAQ section has been updated with a new FAQ document contributed by Hiroko Okashita, Hitachi, Japan

• The Software and Infrastructure section has been updated, including the description of the FWA Infrastructure and a new FWA Installation guide.

• The Service Development section has been updated with a new Outline security policy and FWA Service definition to take account of updates to FWA.

• A new example WARP Registration Application has been provided, based on the new WARP registration form.
